“The
Sivanath Sastri College Alumni Association”
(SNSCAA) Reg. No-S/11/17428 came into being on
1st May, 2003 and instantly became a feather on our cap.
The association regularly organises camps
on “identification of blood group” free of cost. The
participants are provided with identity cards mentioning their
respective blood groups. The SNSCAA played a vital role in
organising a cultural programme in association with the NGO
‘Banchbo’ for their fund raising venture. The programme was
successfully presented on 27.12.2003 at G D Birla Sabhaghar. Other
activities of the association include organisation of cultural
competitions in collaboration with the college cultural activity
club Srijoni, providing underprivileged students with financial aid
and so on

The
objectives of SNSCAA
-
to
promote fellowship and to establish, renew and maintain
contact among the old students, old teachers and the
non-teaching staff of the Sivanath Sastri College;
-
to
arrange and organise lectures, debates, discussions,
seminars and excursion;
-
to
print and publish books, magazines, brochures,
bulletins, souvenirs and other papers;
-
to
promote and encourage literary and cultural activities
and social services;
-
to
carry on the advancement of education in any form;
-
to
provide for financial and medical relief for the poor
and needy students, scholars and ex-students;
-
to
help the aged, sick, helpless and indigent persons
connected or associated with SNSC;
-
to
take welfare projects;
-
to
engage and assist in such other cultural and
philanthropic activities as may be deemed appropriate by
the Governing Body of the Society.

To raise fund and to collect donations and
subscriptions for the purpose of the Society.
The SNSCAA is headed by Mrs. Kumkum
Banerjee (President) and Mrs. Seema Banerjee (Secretary). |
